This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes (“the City”) to prospective respondents to qualify in accordance with Evaluation of Responses (Part 2) for eligibility to provide restoration work in the Council Chamber and Victoria Room at City Hall as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The company must have experience in both heritage buildings and carrying out work in public spaces under a demanding timeline. The project will include alterations to the existing Council Chamber layout to accommodate a change in council size, alterations to public seating areas, improvements for accessibility, acoustic and lighting improvements, and restoration to the plaster ceiling and cornices. Companies with the necessary expertise, skills, experience, and proven success of similar type project experience will be invited to respond to a procurement document released to only those companies who prequalify, later this summer. All work must be completed in the Council Chamber by December 3, 2018, and work on the Victoria room will be completed following the completion of the Council Chamber.
