This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes (“the City”) to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for RFP 2023-101-CP Design for Restoration of the Olde Gaol Museum Envelope, for the provision of all design, labour, and materials necessary, as further described in Appendix C of the RFP Particulars.

This specific envelope restoration project is the first phase of projects for the overall restoration of the Olde Gaol Museum. This specific envelope restoration project is intended to address the following items: restoration of the exterior masonry above grade, foundation restoration, masonry chimney restoration, exterior stair restoration, wood soffit restoration, exterior wood door restoration, window replacement, and proper positive graded slopes around the facility for drainage. The Consultant will be responsible for creating a design, restoration schedule, consulting with stakeholders, creating drawings and specifications, obtaining appropriate approvals, helping with the procurement phase where needed and providing contract administration throughout the restoration construction.

The City is intent on finding a consultant that has experience with similar projects, can lead a diverse consulting team to deliver a functional solution, and is flexible to support changing needs.
