The City intends to enter into an agreement for professional services to execute a preliminary and detailed design, as well as the preparation of all excess soil management requirements, Request for Quotation documentation necessary for the proposed reconstruction project.

Currently all subject roadways have a paved surfaces, with a mix of asphalt, concrete, curb and gutter, catch basins, sidewalks, and intermittent grass boulevards. The underground services are water main, sanitary sewer and storm sewer. The storm sewers ultimately flow into the Scugog River. 

The City of Kawartha Lakes has identified all of the subject roadways, for reconstruction of the water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and all other requisite underground infrastructure. All recommendations outlined in the latest transportation masterplan are to be accommodated in the design.
